Political researcher Hanna Wass recently ordered a dress designed by Katri Niskanen for Linna’s party. Wass shared on his social media channels about his disappointment with the dress he ordered and its material.
Now Wass opens on social media after the controversy caused by its publication. Wass has shared a screenshot of Iltalehti’s story on his Instagram, where it was told how Niskanen’s team responded to Wass’s criticism.
– I have received plenty of well-deserved criticism for my update regarding the evening dress I ordered through the online store, Wass begins his writing.
– My broader goal was to try to understand the economic logic of Finnish (party) clothing design, but the framing and expressions I used were very poorly chosen and thus did not support the opening of a more general level of discussion, he continues.
Wass says that he appreciates Niskanen’s work and deeply regrets the inappropriate feedback he gave.
– The elegant way of reacting to it strengthened the appreciation even more. In this case, the customer was definitely not right, which is why I deleted the original update from my social account, says Wass.
