Archbishop Luc Terlinden pleaded for “openness and empathy” on Sunday in the basilica of Koekelberg during the annual memorial moment for victims of sexual abuse. Many Belgian churches are praying today for victims and survivors in the run-up to next Tuesday’s World Day for the Prevention and Reparation of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Violence against Children.
