Sylvie Meis was completely shocked by Evert Santegoeds’ announcement that he would put a shocking photo of her on the cover of his magazine. “Her manager called me.”
Private boss Evert Santegoeds announced in his podcast on Tuesday that a day later – yesterday – a shocking photo of Sylvie Meis would appear on the cover of his gossip magazine. That message hit her home town of Hamburg like a bombshell: Sylvie was shocked and her manager immediately grabbed the phone to call Evert, bewildered.
Marijke Meis
A surprise, Evert thinks. “We have at least one listener in Hamburg, we noticed, because who responded to the podcast? Sylvie Meis! Her manager wanted to know what on earth was in the Privé and I showed her,” he says in Strictly Private.
It concerns this photo which was taken of her on a red carpet in Vienna. “Yes, so the photos of Sylvie on the red carpet and that you really say: hey, is it Sylvie or is it Marijke Helwegen in her younger years?”
‘She already knew it’
Evert thinks it says a lot about Sylvie’s media awareness. “So she listens. She still follows Dutch showbiz closely. Furthermore, she already knew those photos, because they were published in Germany last week. I think she was afraid that we had photos of something else, so I think there is something going on in her life or something.”
By the way, Evert himself admits that it was a bad photo of Sylvie. “Bild has pictures of her on a pole today, because she does pole dancing, and it looks beautiful, I must say.”
Critical Talitha
Finally, Evert receives a heavy blow from Talitha Muusse, former presenter of the talk show Op1, because of his strong criticism of Sylvie.
She writes down X: “There is something very wrong about the fact that it is really men who keep increasing the pressure on women to meet crazy beauty ideals such as not growing old or having a BBL (Brazilian butt lift, ed.) and then men also laugh at women when they succumb to this and go through the motions.”
