In the 11th week of the Euroleague, Fenerbahçe Beko defeated Hapoel Tel Aviv 74-68 and achieved its 6th victory of the season. With this result, the yellow-dark blue team extended their winning streak to three matches.
After the match, Fenerbahçe Beko Head Coach Sarunas Jasikevicius drew attention to the fighting power of his team while evaluating the victory:
“Offensive rebounds and second chance points were vital for us in this match. We saw a great fight from my players today. We took the balls in the middle, intervened in the balls. We stayed afloat with offensive rebounds when things were not going well.”
The Lithuanian coach also emphasized the quality of the opponent:
“Hapoel also made very difficult shots, they are a quality team. Onuralp’s contribution was the kind of contribution we expected from our players. Players may not always be able to participate in the game by scoring.”
Jasikevicius stated that he does not attach much importance to the winning streak, his main focus is on the team’s chemistry:
“A three-win streak is nice, but I don’t care much about streaks. To me, we looked like a real team today, which is what’s more important to me.”
