On Saturdays at 11 p.m., ZDF “Das aktuell Sportstudio” presents the highlights of the sports day. Here is an overview of the upcoming show.
Goals, analyses, prominent guests: “The Current Sports Studio” has been a fixture on Saturday evenings on German television for decades. In the upcoming broadcast on Saturday, November 15, 2025, on ZDF and ZDF stream from 11 p.m It’s all about qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, the women’s national handball team and the election of the para-athlete of the year.

This program focuses on the ongoing qualification phase for the upcoming 2026 World Cup. The evening before, the German national team plays against Luxembourg in Luxembourg and wants to defend its lead in Group A. The German handball women will be fighting for the title at the home World Cup from November 26th. In the group phase the DHB team meets Iceland, Uruguay and Serbia. The German team’s games take place in Stuttgart, the main round and quarter-finals in Dortmund. The final round – including the final on December 14th – in the Netherlands (Rotterdam).
