It is a challenge for Art Rooijakkers to keep his Talpa contract now that he has voluntarily resigned as presenter of News of the Day. His other programs have to start scoring, otherwise he won’t be worth all those tons. The presenter will have a lot of stomach ache today, because his primetime show on SBS 6 has dropped significantly.

Art collapses

His new program The Sword of Damocles started last week with a cautious 605 thousand viewers, but the market share in the commercial target group was good: 19.1 percent. How different is that now, a week later.

The second episode of the Art show does not reach more than 431 thousand viewers and a low 7.4 percent in that target group, according to figures from Tina Nijkamp. “Huh? How can that suddenly be so low in that target group?”, she says analysis channel. “Disappointment at the offices of SBS6 and for Art Rooijakkers.”

Linda to blame?

It must have something to do with the fact that Art is right after Gooische Vrouwen and that series is no longer a hit. Those who are really interested can watch this ahead of time on Videoland, leaving SBS 6 with only the old leftovers.

Tina: “I think Gooische Vrouwen is one of the losers of this weekend. Only 726 thousand viewers. If postponed, it will be watched very well, because last week it had 824 thousand viewers and that increased to 1.2 million. So there will be another 400 thousand viewers, but it just scores very old, I noticed.”

Disappointing

The Linda de Mol series did not exceed a 7.7 percent market share in the target group. “That is very disappointing and they at SBS will not be happy about that.”

The most watched program of the evening was Heel Holland Bakt with 1.7 million viewers on NPO 1. RTL 4 managed to captivate 1.1 million viewers with Expeditie Robinson.
