Milano, 10 Nov. (askanews) – Six Milanese art galleries hosted in Palazzo Cicogna every year they inaugurate exhibitions at the same time for the “Gallerie a Palazzo” exhibition, a way of creating synergy and joining forces and showing works ranging from ancient to contemporary. Among them also the Matteo Salamon and Longari Arte Gallery.

Galleries in the Palace

«We all decided together to inaugurate once a year, we are at the fifth edition – Salamon told askanews – this event which we have called Gallerie a Palazzo ea Every year in November each of us inaugurates our own exhibition in our own location and we are all open, we work in synergy.”

«The importance of being part of this group – echoed Marco Longari – is to combine many different genres in order to offer a varied clientele more types of art starting from the 13th-14th century up to the present day».

From the Middle Ages to today

The proposals are different and in the case of Longari Arte they date back to the late Middle Ages. «Longari Arte – added the owner of the gallery – remains faithful to its tradition linked to medieval art of the early Renaissance, especially to sculpture. This year I present this group of Lombard sculptures from the early sixteenth century which evidently come from a large group of laments over the dead Christ: it is a typical Lombard production found above all in the sacred mountains or in some museums”.

Chronologically subsequent, however, is Salamon’s 2025 proposal, which hosts works from a private collection. “For this year we are doing something a bit particular, a bit special – Matteo Salamon explained to us – that is, an exhibition dedicated to Giorgio Bocca and Silvia Giacomoni, who were two great figures of Italian culture and journalism. We have selected works from their collection on display, which focus on Italian futurism, therefore on the works of the early twentieth century and on some beautiful drawings that Bocca and Giacomoni loved to buy directly from the artists”.

The other galleries involved in the event, until January 31, 2026, are Giuseppe Piva Japanese Art, Martelli Fine Art & NP Art Lab, Studio Gariboldi and Salamon Fine Art.
