In group A three points for Alcione and Trento, one for Giana Erminio and AlbinoLeffe. Lecco beats Novara. In B, clean sheets between Perugia and Arezzo. Siracusa makes it three of a kind, Audace Cerignola also wins, draw between Monopoli and Casertana in group C

November 9 – 11.43pm – MILAN

Sunday full of 15 matches in all three groups: Vicenza escapes, Brescia stumbles, Juve U23 and Carpi start again. Catania is unstoppable.

GROUP A

Very favorable round for Vicenza, who extends their lead to +8 over second-placed Brescia and Lecco. Even with 10 men for a half (Leverbe was sent off at the start of the second half for the equalizing penalty awarded against Fvs), the league leaders gave another show of strength and moved on to Monza against Inter U23: substitute Stuckler was decisive in the final, a reward for the courage of Fabio Gallo who, with one man less, did not give up on the two attackers. However, the closest pursuers fall. Brescia slips, decimated by absences: Alcione passes at Rigamonti with the excellent Bright and Diana’s team hits a wall and bad luck (a goal disallowed, a penalty claimed, two woodwork hit by Cisco). Lecco also found themselves empty-handed: Da Graca’s goal relaunched Novara – three deserved points – and made Zanchetta’s bench more solid. In the playoff zone, Trento’s rise continues, achieving their second victory in a row against Ospitaletto (and eighth consecutive useful result). Pro Vercelli also did well: both Sow twins, 19 years old, scored in the 3-1 win over Triestina who have not yet benefited from Tesser’s return. Giana, after the penalty that Akammadu had saved by Facchetti, reaches AlbinoLeffe with time up (and both remain in the right column of the table).

GROUP B

The pitfalls of the Perugia derby were well known: Arezzo came out with one point (0-0) and failed to overtake Ravenna, now in control of the summit: it ended with an expulsion on each side and with the crossbar hit by Torrasi which denied full joy to the team regenerated by Giovanni Tedesco. Juventus Next Gen starts again: after three defeats without scoring, Brambilla’s Bianconeri beat Forlì thanks to the performance of Pedro Felipe (yesterday on the bench with Spalletti for the derby). Black crisis for Livorno, which also falls against a good Carpi and pushes president Esciua to announce the substantial dismissal of Formisano: “The credit of trust towards him is exhausted – he explained – his position is very precarious. We are all disappointed and I understand the fans who can’t take it anymore. On Tuesday we will have a press conference with various announcements at a technical and corporate level”. Still on the subject of coaches, Torres is ready to announce the return of Alfonso Greco.

GROUP C

While waiting for the postponement of Salernitana-Crotone on Monday, Catania takes first place for one night by overcoming Altamura at Massimino (17 thousand spectators) with goals in the second half from Di Gennaro and Cicerelli. In their stadium, where they have never lost and scored 25 goals, Mimmo Toscano’s team seems to have no rivals. Benevento also takes care of putting pressure on Salernitana – reaching them at 26 points – as they pass by authority to Foggia, making Barilari’s debut on the bench bitter (penalized by Rizzo’s expulsion after just 32′): first goal with the new shirt for Tumminello, Mignani and Talia also scored. Immediately behind the big teams, the substitute Casarotto scores the equalizer for Casertana in the Monopoli playoff match. With the success against Sorrento, Cerignola smiles again after five defeats in a row and Maiuri saves the bench. At the end, Siracusa scores three against Latina: a flash goal from Zanini at the start, after just 29”.
