Bayern are the only league team to remain undefeated. Three goals were scored after just 25 minutes.

FC Bayern’s footballers remain on course for success in the Bundesliga. The league leaders defeated promoted team 1. FC Union Berlin 4-0 (3-0) on Friday evening. Coach José Barcala’s team is at the top of the table with 28 points – pursuers VfL Wolfsburg could move back to three points with a win against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Union, which leads the bottom third of the table with ten points in tenth place, suffered its fifth defeat from the last six games in Munich.

In front of 2,500 visitors on the Munich campus, the double winner quickly took the lead. After a mistake by Union goalkeeper Nadine Böhi, national player Linda Dallmann made it 1-0 (8th minute).

The Berliners affected by a dozen failures quickly fell behind. Denmark’s Pernille Harder scored from a cross from full-back Giulia Gwinn to make it 2-0 (19th). The DFB captain herself increased the score to 3-0 with her first goal of the season (25th).

After the break, the Munich team picked up the pace and are the only Bundesliga team to remain undefeated. After a cross from Gwinn, Union’s Tomke Schneider unfortunately hit his own goal to make it 4-0 (48th). By the way, substitute Leona Seifert was another 16-year-old who was able to gain further Bundesliga experience (86th).

It was the third Bundesliga game within seven days for both teams. For the Munich team, who were without the ailing attacker Lea Schüller (muscular problems), the Champions League continues on Wednesday (from 6:45 p.m. in the t-online live ticker). Then the reigning Champions League winners FC Arsenal will be guests in Munich.
