Actor Valtteri Lehtinen29, arrived at his destination Syke movie: Sparks in the night I was invited to the film’s evening on Thursday.

Lehtinen appeared in front of the media about half a year after he had a hair transplant in Stockholm. In this operation, hair is transplanted from denser areas to balding or thinning areas.

The actor tells Iltalehti that things have gone well after the operation, but admits that waiting for the results is “painful”.

– After a hair transplant, the recovery process takes an awfully long time. Just last night I was in front of the mirror and looked almost in agony that I still can’t really see any results, says Lehtinen.

– Then at night I googled the matter and fortunately came to the conclusion that the biggest hair growth starts only after six months. So you shouldn’t worry yet. But it’s still exciting, he adds.

Lehtinen says she wants her hair to be as thick and rich as possible.

Tough operation

Currently, the trend is to go for a hair transplant in Turkey, but Lehtinen wanted to visit a clinic in Sweden specifically, where his friend had visited.

– I thought that the trip would be short and practical things would go more easily. But it was funny that hair transplant operators from Turkey were flown there to the Swedish clinic. It was a pleasant surprise for me that Turkey is the best at this.

On the clinic’s recommendation, Lehtinen had stayed in Sweden for one night after the operation. Lehtinen says that the first night after the operation was really tough.

– After the operation, the anesthesia wears off, and painkillers must not be started on the first night, but the next day. So, the discomfort and pain can be strong even on the first night. It was such a dream, the actor recalls.

– But I don’t make a dramatic issue out of it. If such a game is started, then let the game last, he states.

According to the actor, the wildest experience than the first night was when about a week had passed since the operation.

– Such crazy itching started. It is typical that when the wound starts to heal, it starts to shrink. It’s a good sign of improvement in the operating area, Lehtinen explains.

– But it was such a shocking itch that I felt like sacrificing the whole operation and all the money put into it and nailing it [istutetut hiukset] loose. But luckily I didn’t. I went through those days coolly and without cursing, he continues.

Lehtinen mentioned earlier Galapodcast, that the operation cost about 5,000 euros including travel and accommodation. Now he says that he considers the sum in question “an investment for the future”.

– Especially in terms of this profession. But even if I didn’t do performing work, I would possibly still have ended up in this operation, he elaborates.

Living together

Lehtinen told Iltalehte in January 2024 that she had been dating a man working in the environment for several years, who is not in the entertainment industry at all.

Now Lehtinen says that they lived in neighboring houses for a long time, but they moved under the same roof to the center of Helsinki about a year ago.

– It’s been really nice. There is enough space in the apartment that he works remotely in his study at home. He can also relax there after a working day, and I can tinker and clean, says the actor.

The couple does not argue about housework, as they have a clear division of labor in regards to them.

– He cooks and goes to the store and I clean and do laundry. We are really happy with this arrangement because I’m a bad cook and I don’t like it, but on the other hand I love cleaning.

The couple was on vacation in Tuscany, Italy, in early autumn. In addition, Lehtinen recently had an adventure in Zanzibar, Tanzania, which was a wild experience for the actor.

– It was exciting when the presidential elections were held in Tanzania at the same time and then the terribly dangerous riots started. I had made a travel notification and we kept getting messages from Finland that we should return home immediately.

– That also brought its own challenges for communication when the internet was down in the whole country. But we made it back happily.
