Sky Sports Germany is not at all impressed by the performance of the home team, who had a very difficult time against Feyenoord for a long time. “Bilal El Khannouss (84th minute) and Deniz Undav (90+1) produced the late goals for VfB in front of 60,000 spectators, although the team’s performance was disappointing for much of the match.”

There is also an eye for Feyenoord’s mediocre European series, which has only won against Panathinaikos. “For Feyenoord, currently leaders in the Eredivisie, the Europa League campaign remains bleak with only three points.”

Bee Der Kicker one Feyenoord player in particular has made quite an impression. There is mention of the ‘impressive captain Hadj Moussa’. “With this 2-0 win, the first clean sheet in the Europa League for Stuttgart and the second home win in as many home games in the competition, Stuttgart climbed to 20th place. Feyenoord lost for the third time in four games.”

Die Welt realizes that this victory is very welcome at VfB Stuttgart. “After two consecutive defeats in the Europa League, coach Sebastian Hoeneß’s team was under pressure. A draw would have only increased the pressure. With six points from four games, the team ultimately improved its position in the battle for qualification for the knockout phase, just as hoped.”

Stuttgarter Zeitung saw that things went wrong outside the stadium afterwards. “After Stuttgart’s late goals, riots broke out between the fans of both clubs. Beer cups were thrown and at one point a banner was even set on fire by Feyenoord supporters. Security and police were quickly on the scene. After that, peace quickly returned.”
