On social networks, a short video was shared in the moment before Manuel Adorni was sworn in as the new Chief of Staff. Correspondents accredited at Casa Rosada recorded the protocol meetings between the ministers before the appointment ceremony and were able to capture the greeting between Karina Milei and Santiago Caputothe two main internal figures in the government.

“What are you doing? A lot of sun?” the sister joked with a smile to the president while hugging the advisor, who was on one side of the room. True to his outfit style, the “ex Iron Triangle“was present with dark glasses in the venue. The greeting was a mixture of cordiality and irony. Of course, both were recorded smiling at each other by the cameras.

The formal event was held in the White Room of the Casa Rosada and had a very high percentage of presenteeism on the part of the Executive leadership. Once Adorni was sworn in, the two personalities once again spoke hand in hand briefly before “The Boss” left the Hall to return to his brother’s office. At another moment, a fraternal hug was seen between the President and the advisor that lasted several seconds. Afterwards, he whispered something in her ear, but you can’t make out what he was saying.

After the victory in the national legislative elections, Karina Milei consolidated herself as the main winner within the government. The official determined the future dispositions of positions in key areas, after the resignation of Guillermo Francos and Lisandro Catalán. Now with the former presidential spokesperson as his eyes on the entire horizon of the Cabinet Martin Menem empowered from the Chamber of Deputy, it also has Patricia Bullrich and Diego Santilli as negotiators in the Senate and with the governors.

Beyond this renewal at the heart of the administration of Javier Milei, Caputo continues to maintain centrality in the SIDE, the FIU, in sectors of the ARCA and in the Ministries of Justice and Health. Although it was estimated that he could have obtained a ministerial position, many assure that the refusal, on the part of the advisor and those around the Secretary General of the Presidency, in some way limits him, but also protects him, so as not to be another fuse within the libertarian cabinet.

In the run-up to the elections, the caputism was clinging to an electoral failure that would hit the main person in charge of the national armed forces and president of La Libertad Avanza. Karina Milei, together with Eduardo “Lule” Menem, had insisted on having “pure” libertarian candidates in the 24 provinces against the thesis of the presidential advisor who preferred to close alliances with like-minded governors. The libertarian electoral victory, exceeding 40% of the votes, leaving the Peronists behind by several points, confirmed the epic battle that Javier Milei’s younger sister carried out.

Santiago Caputo felt that the libertarian official and the Menems gained ground in these elections. “For the first time LLA presented itself as a national party in an election. This was possible due to the leadership of the president and the tireless work of the party president, Karina. Without that effort nothing would be possible,” highlighted Lule Menem in his X account. Perhaps, the most visible result is that the Iron Triangle no longer exists as such, but that does not imply that the libertarian internal party has ended.
