The man who was arrested on Monday afternoon in the Hoofdstraat in Schijndel will remain in custody for two weeks longer. The judge decided this on Thursday.
The man is suspected of assaulting his partner and is also alleged to have violated the Opium Act.
Around noon on Monday, about six police cars came to the Hoofdstraat in Schijndel to arrest the man. A police spokesperson said at the time that it was an ‘incident in the relational sphere’.
Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
