Eintracht’s absolute favorite opponent, Effzeh, was in Frankfurt; in 14 duels in the Bundesliga, the Hessians had the upper hand 14 times. In the initial phase of the game on Wednesday, Eintracht lived up to their role as favorites, but little by little the committed Cologne team bit into the game.
