Luis Díaz’s hard foul on Achraf Hakimi really annoyed a journalist. He attacked the Bayern star violently in the net – and rowed back shortly afterwards.

FC Bayern remains the measure of all things this season. The reigning Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain also lost out against Munich on Tuesday evening. Thanks to a brace from new signing Luis Díaz, coach Vincent Kompany’s team secured a 2-1 away win in the French capital.

However, the hero of the game on the Munich side also became a tragic figure. Shortly before half-time, Díaz fouled his opponent Achraf Hakimi with a brutal tackle. The result: The Moroccan injured himself, limped off the pitch supported by his supervisors and in tears. Díaz was shown the red card after the video evidence was used – and had to listen to violent words from a journalist on social media.

“Luis Díaz, if you injure Hakimi before the Africa Cup, I will put you under pressure until the end of your career,” said Said Amdaa, who works for the French radio station Mouv’, threatened the Bayern player on X during the game. “I’m making this a personal matter.”

Hakimi is the captain of the Moroccan national team. The fourth place in the 2022 World Cup will host the Africa Cup of Nations from December 21st. Hakimi’s absence would be a huge blow to the country. Paris announced on Wednesday that the full-back had suffered a “severe left ankle sprain.” He will be absent for several weeks.

Amdaa followed up with another post just a few minutes after his first post. This showed a video of Hakimi being initially supported by the carers and then carried into the catacombs by them. Amdaa wrote: “The worst nightmare for Morocco… Achraf Hakimi has to leave the pitch injured. He can’t even walk to the dressing room on his own two feet. It’s a disaster.” He then approached Díaz personally. “Luis Díaz, you are a criminal,” the journalist rumbled.

Apparently Amdaa received a lot of backlash for his words online. Under his first post, he first commented: “Stop taking everything literally.” Hakimi was actually injured by Díaz, but that’s the way sport is. “You saw that I didn’t tweet about him once after that to denigrate him,” Amdaa clarified. He also condemned the racist insults against Díaz that he apparently had to endure because of his foul.

Shortly afterwards, Amdaa spoke out on the topic one last time. “When I ask Vincent Kompany this question, I expressly point out that Luis Diaz certainly didn’t do it on purpose,” the reporter wrote on a video from the press conference with the Bayern coach after the game. He concluded his post with an appeal to his critics: “Take a step back, it’s just football, instead of spreading unnecessary insults.”
