A star drives “Oranje” insane

Draw in the “classic” against the Netherlands. In the prestige duel in Amsterdam, a DFB star can fully convince – another remains pale. The individual criticism.

Winning series broken – but still unbeaten: The German national team did not get more than a 1-1 draw with the Netherlands in the prestige duel, despite another appealing performance.

“We had the opponent well under control for 60 minutes and should have made it 2-0 through David Raum,” explained national coach Hansi Flick after the game. “But a huge compliment to my team, it’s just nice how they’re playing, how everyone is going along the way: courageous, refreshing, self-confident. We can be satisfied with the 1-1 draw, although we would have preferred to win.”

At the game in Amsterdam, a star of the German team was particularly convincing. You can see who had a strong evening – and who was beside themselves – in the slideshow above or here.
