The flight radar aircraft app clearly shows that there is more air traffic than normal above Ostend. Flights from Prague and Munich, among others, could be diverted. But also from London and Gothenburg.
Other airports were also deployed in this way, after a drone report above Zaventem airport. “Just before eight o’clock there was a report of a drone above the airport’s territory, says skeyes spokesperson Kurt Verwilligen. “For safety reasons, all air traffic has been stopped.”
An hour later, the airspace was open again.
