In the eighth episode, ten underground artists once again fought or rapped for recognition from the jury, consisting of Sido, PA Sports, Ali Bumaye and Massiv himself. This time the rapper Davage received a special award. He won the coveted “Golden Mic”, which is awarded in each episode by a special guest independently of the jury. Criticism of the concept and implementation
The format is often criticized. On the one hand, fans are bothered by the high participation fee of 99 euros. According to Massiv itself, this should reflect the artists’ willingness to be ambitious. What also creates discussions is that the participants predominantly present their songs in playback format and there is no focus on the artist’s live skills. The selection of candidates wasn’t particularly exciting to some of the viewers at the beginning; According to comments, they are “neither authentic nor creative”.

Despite criticism, the success of the new format is already assured. The number of views of the episodes published so far are all in the six-figure range. Summaries and performance excerpts are also widely clicked and shared on TikTok. The new episode was released on November 3rd and already has over 700 comments.
