The Eintracht Frankfurt women can still score points in foreign stadiums in the Bundesliga: In Hamburg the team stays cool and deserves the away win.

The Eintracht Frankfurt women achieved an away win in the Bundesliga. The team won 4-0 (1-0) at HSV on Sunday.

Ilestedt puts Eintracht in the lead

Although the promoted team played courageously in front of over 6,000 fans in the Volksparkstadion, the Hamburg team could not beat Lina Altenburg in the Eintracht goal.

On the other hand, Frankfurt had their first big chance in the 21st minute through Rebecka Blomqvist, who was sent on the move by Nicole Anyomi, but didn’t finish with enough precision in front of HSV keeper Larissa Haidner. Amanda Ilestedt did better, heading Nina Lürßen’s subsequent corner into the goal to take the lead (22′).

Senß, Freigang and Gräwe follow up

After the break, Eintracht quickly picked up: The busy Anyomi was fouled in the penalty area, Elisa Senß grabbed the ball for a penalty and coolly scored to make it 2-0 (55th).

But that’s not all: in the 69th minute it was Anyomi who perfectly portrayed a colleague. With her pass, Laura Freigang ran towards Haidner alone and scored to make it 3-0. Shortly before the end, Lisanne Gräwe simply took a shot and Haidner punched what was actually a very central shot into the goal (83′). The 4-0 was also the final score.

First away win after three defeats

It was the first away win for Eintracht Frankfurt the current Bundesliga season. Niko Arnautis’ team had previously come away empty-handed in all three games away from home.
