Round of 16

There will be three Bundesliga duels in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup. This was the result of the draw on Sunday evening. Among other things, record winners FC Bayern are visiting 1. FC Union Berlin and Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are meeting for the top game.
Borussia Mönchengladbach and FC St. Pauli will meet again after they played against each other in the league this weekend – albeit in Hamburg. The Foals won 4-0 and celebrated their first Bundesliga victory this season.
Defending champions VfB Stuttgart have to go to VfL Bochum, who are relegated and are in 14th place in the second division after eleven match days. Of the six second division teams in the round of 16, two will meet directly: Hertha BSC and 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The northern duel between Hamburger SV and Holstein Kiel is particularly explosive. The round of 16 is scheduled for December 2nd and 3rd. The final in the Berlin Olympic Stadium will take place on May 23, 2026.
