Hundreds of people gather in a cemetery to commemorate deceased loved ones: ‘Not creepy, but very serene’

Collectively remembering lost loved ones: everywhere in our country there are special celebrations of All Souls’ Day, a centuries-old festival to remember the deceased. That is no longer always the case in a Catholic setting. At Driehuis Westerveld, one of the oldest private cemeteries in our country, hundreds of people gather on Sunday evening to walk across the cemetery with lights, music and poems.
