Quentin Debois had no interest in the sea until a friend took him on a sailing trip. He was immediately sold and even went to France to continue his training.

Two years ago he already sailed the Transat 6.50, from the Canary Islands to Guadeloupe. Now he makes the crossing alone, but with a team on land.

The boat must be as light as possible for his record attempt with 120 liters of water, spare material and some food on board. In addition, he must also be able to cope with loneliness. During his previous crossing, Quentin saw two ships passing in the distance, so much for human contact.

If the weather is favorable, Debois will leave Cadiz for San Salvador sometime in December. A few months later he leaves New York for England.
