Pele Wollitz is with us and of course we first want to talk about the scenes that took place here. There were monkey noises against Butler. Of course, that caused the game to be interrupted. That also caused a lot of conversation on the pitch. Pele You spoke to the team, spoke to the referee, also to Gernot Mang, the 60th president. How do you assess the situation and what has already been discussed on the pitch?
The executive board of 60 Munich has apologized for this person. They don’t need to apologize for that. Nevertheless, I find it very pleasant. We’re allowed here now because someone who doesn’t belong here can’t hear anything? If the players can’t hear anything, no one can hear anything. Nobody needs that. Nobody wants it. Yet it always happens. Regardless, I told the referee he could stop the game to send a signal. We are the loser. The result was two to zero. I don’t remember how much longer there was left to play. Just make a statement. We always talk. We always talk, but no one acts like that. And that’s why it’s sad for the player and also sad for 60 Munich or for everyone else.
One more question about Butler, who you hugged again earlier. How is he feeling after what just happened?
How is it supposed to work? So I don’t think any player likes that. That person is said to have made the monkey. Yes. That’s why this one came about. This hustle and bustle here. And then how should that person feel? Of course you always think it won’t happen anyway, but it just happens again and again. No matter who, no matter where in which stadium. None of us have the attitude that one should have and then abandon this game. I don’t know how long there was left to play. It was two to zero. I have. I have stated that I accept that we lost the game. Just go in so that everyone might think about it at some point. Despite all the emotionality, despite all the rivalry, despite all the importance, it’s still possible. It’s already starting. This league is like that with all these spectators and stuff, where is he? Where is he? This DFB is the biggest battle there is. Then maybe there won’t be this discussion that we always have after the game. They have more, sometimes they have less. I think it’s a scene worth discussing today because up until then we were the better team in my opinion.
