SuperMario on Instagram comments on the change: “Karma is ab*tch… now the club can focus on people who really love it, not on those who selfishly took advantage of other people’s work”
The broadside is heavy. And punctual. Mario Balotelli, now a former Genoa striker, had been waiting for a misstep from Patrick Vieira for some time, who had never really considered it during his time with the rossoblù, so much so that it profoundly influenced SuperMario’s final farewell to Genoa. “Karma is a bi*ch”, begins Balotelli in the first story posted on Instagram against the former Grifone coach, “God sees and provides”.

Then Mario goes into even more detail, without sparing praise for the other two exes, Gilardino and Zangrillo. “Ooooola!” writes Balo, with two red and blue emoticons before starting. “Now Genoa can finally focus on people who really love the environment, the fans and the crest, and who deeply believe in the idea and in the fact that Genoa deserves to be at the top!”.

And here is the message for the former coach who had wanted it so much and the former president of the Grifone: “The great work experienced firsthand by Gilardino and Zangrillo was not lost: it was only exploited selfishly and badly by those who arrived later, taking advantage of what they had built with effort, respect and passion. They exploited the immense work of Gilardino and Zangrillo, their commitment and their dedication towards these colours, without really understanding its value. Now head to Genoa and to the Genoans! Come on Genoa, come on guys! I believed in you and I still believe in you!”. With lots of heart and tags first towards Zangrillo and Gilardino and then, at the end, towards Vieira. Almost to make sure Patrick read his message. Words that can be shared or not, but which will certainly make some noise…
