The official confirmation is here. Sony launches new “PlayStation Plus” subscription models for PS5 and PS4.
From June, Sony will offer three subscription models for PS5 and PS4 users. The Essential, Extra and Premium levels therefore cost between EUR 8.99 and EUR 16.99 per month and can also be completed quarterly or annually for a small saving.

PS Plus will combine several services and ultimately offer gamers an all-round package. Depending on the version with plenty of services.
PlayStation Plus Essential
PS Plus Essential offers the same benefits PS Plus members already get today, such as: e.g.:
- Two monthly downloadable games
- Exclusive discounts
- Cloud storage for saved games
- Online multiplayer access
There are no changes for existing PlayStation Plus members on this plan.
the PlayStation Plus Essential price remains the same as the current PlayStation Plus price.
Price*: €8.99 monthly / €24.99 quarterly / €59.99 annually
PS Plus Extra offers all the benefits of the Essential plan and adds a catalog of up to 400* PS4 and PS5 games, including blockbuster hits from the PlayStation Studios catalogue. Games that are part of the Extra plan can be downloaded.
Price*: €13.99 monthly / €39.99 quarterly / €99.99 annually
PlayStation Plus premium
PS Plus Premium offers all the benefits of the Essential and Extra plans and adds up to 340* additional games, including:
- PS3 games available via cloud streaming.
- A catalog of popular classic games from the first generation of PlayStation, PS2 and PSP, available for streaming or download.
This plan also offers additional cloud streaming access for original PlayStation, PS2, PSP and PS4 games offered in the Extra and Premium plans. Gamers can stream games via PS4 and PS5 consoles as well as PC.
Time-limited trial versions of games are offered in this tariff, so that selected games can be tried out before purchase.
Price*: €16.99 monthly / €49.99 quarterly / €119.99 annually
Titles such as Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Returnal will be offered at launch. Due to PlayStation’s close collaboration with PlayStation Studios developers and third-party partners, a regularly updated library is created that includes some of the best gaming experiences on the market. More details on the games offered in the new PlayStation Plus service will follow at a later date.
