His father is the founder of a Swedish rock band, his mother is a well-known singer and presenter. Liam Pitts himself has also been part of a reality show and appeared in formats such as “The Traitors”.

The 22-year-old is taking a completely different path: Pitts starts out as an MMA fighter and becomes an MMA fighter Octagon 79 in Brno* make his debut with a top international organization. He would like to shed the image of a celebrity child.

“I think people just have preconceived ideas and think I’m like all the other celebrity kids. I wouldn’t see myself as a celebrity kid at all,” said Pitts in an interview with Aftonbladet a few years ago.

His mother, Laila Bagge, is particularly known for numerous TV appearances such as in the Swedish version of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” or “Let’s Dance”. Liam also came into the public eye through the reality TV show “Lailaland,” which revolved around her family.

Even during the reality TV era, the Swedish talent’s focus was entirely on MMA. Since he was 14 years old, Pitts has been training at the most renowned martial arts school in Scandinavia: the Allstars Gym. Six amateur and two professional fights later, Pitts has now signed with Oktagon.

“It feels good to be joining a bigger, more serious organization. I perform better when the pressure is on – and I haven’t been this excited in a long time,” he told The Combat Arts magazine.

Octagon is just the beginning. “The beginning of my ascent. It’s a first step to the top.” Given his TV experience, Pitts shouldn’t have any problems with the spotlight and thousands of fans.

Opponent Stephan Guidea from Kassel will still be a bit of a challenge. He has already fought four professional fights and this will also be his Octagon debut.
