In the last twenty years the footballer – but recently also the coach – has become an expo of tattoos spread on arms, necks, ankles, backs, chests, thighs, fingers because as long as there is skin there is hope and space for a tattoo. It is a showcase to be reclaimed, because it is history written on one’s skin. And to be displayed with pride, almost always. Almost. In fact, there are tattoos that at a certain point, due to the turn of the winds of careers and destinies, become – let’s specify: often without the owners’ fault – uncomfortable and inappropriate, then contested, and finally the subject of debate.
