The Eisbären Berlin won their second game in a row in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) with their victory in Schwenningen.

The Eisbären Berlin have won the second game in a row in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL). On Friday evening, the German champions won against the Schwenninger Wild Wings 4:3 (2:0, 0:2, 1:1, 1:0) after extra time. Markus Vikingstad scored the decisive goal in overtime. Ty Ronning had previously scored two goals and Eric Mik had also scored.

In front of 4,894 spectators in the Schwenninger Arena, the guests started with great concentration and took the lead with a goal from Mik in the seventh minute. Afterwards, the home team also found their way into the game better and had their first chances, but the Berliners remained the more efficient team: Ronning increased the score to 2-0 (16th).

After the first break, however, the Berliners increasingly lost their line while the hosts increased the pressure. Tyson Spink (26th) shortened the score after a counterattack for Schwenninger, while Jordan Szwarz scored the equalizer when he was outnumbered (37th).

In the final period, Daniel O’Regan scored the Black Forest team’s third goal (43′), but Ronning forced extra time with his second goal (56′). In overtime, Vikingstad made the decision in favor of the Eisbären (64th).
