TOFAŞ, our representative in the Basketball Champions League, made a big move in the transfer. Bursa team announced that an official contract was signed with 28-year-old national player Furkan Korkmaz.
Furkan Korkmaz, who was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 26th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, gained significant experience in his seven-season NBA career with the Sixers jersey. After his American adventure, Korkmaz transferred to Bahçeşehir College, one of the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League teams, last season, and showed an effective performance there.
The experienced player averaged 12.5 points, 2 assists and 1.1 steals in 21 matches in the Super League, and played with an average of 6.9 points in 10 matches in the EuroCup.
Korkmaz, who also played important roles in the national team, averaged 6.8 points in 9 matches with the A National Team jersey, which won the silver medal at EuroBasket 2025.
