Despite their appearance, bloody witch fingers are surprisingly easy to make.
Almonds are the perfect witch’s gnarled nails. Miia Virtasalmi
In the United States and Canada, Halloween is a huge celebration, for which people bake and decorate the home with almost as much devotion as Christmas. Miia Virtasalmi, who lived in Canada for several years and is married to a Canadian man, fondly remembers the Halloween parties of her Canadian years.
Although the family currently lives in Finland, they have their own Canadian traditions, of which Halloween’s creepy pastries are one of the most delicious.
Virtasalmi, who loves baking, rarely makes the same delicacies. Bloody Witch Fingers appeared for the first time this year. They passed the harshness test at a party for 11-year-old children. It depends on the point of view whether the fingers were successful or not, because:
– It got pretty bad. The children didn’t even dare to taste. I told them to keep their eyes closed, Virtasalmi laughs.
Here’s how to make severed witch fingers:
Make the cake lollipop. You can bake a dry cake yourself or buy a ready-made one from a store. This time, Virtasalmi used ready-made dry cake flavored with lemon, to which he mixed raspberry-flavored cream cheese.
Shape the mass into finger-thick and long sticks. Put them either in the fridge for a couple of hours or in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Melt the white chocolate and color it with green food coloring. Dip your cooled fingers in melted chocolate and put a whole peeled almond on your nail. And gently press the joint with the fork. Act quickly, because a cool finger hardens the chocolate quickly.
Finally, use red sugar icing to dab blood marks on the cut of the finger.

She has baked pumpkin pies with creamy ghost icing, peanut butter cookies with two spider decorations. Some have chocolate chips dipped in the soft dough that just came out of the oven, and the other has a chocolate ball glued with chocolate, with eyes made of sugar icing. Moomin brownies are topped with buttercream with a flat tulle.
– Simple and fast, Virtasalmi encourages.
