Sante was killed before he could marry Stella. His brother Enzo (Federico Cautiero) is in shock, he has an uncontainable anger inside that could lead him to take extreme actions. In fact, he intends to avenge Sante. Don Giuseppe (Carmine Recano) tries to dissuade him, but the teenager gets a gun.
Massimo (Rocco Guarino), at the priest’s suggestion, keeps an eye on Enzo. One evening, while following him through the alleys of the neighborhood, he is attacked and beaten by Sante’s own murderers. The boy who wanted to become an actor when he grew up ends up in hospital: his life is not in danger, but his face remains forever marked. Massimo doesn’t want to see his friends, Don Giuseppe or even attend theater class. His destiny is alongside the Camorra member Mariano Sommella (Giovanni Ludeno).

Don Giuseppe feels he has failedof failing to protect Massimo as he had promised his father in prison. The priest enters a deep crisis and decides to leave the neighborhood. Spurred on by the boys and Sister Celeste (Bianca Nappi), he retraces his steps: his work has just begun and he can’t throw in the towel so soon.
Mimmo is in love with Caterina
In the Church of the Immaculate Conception the neighborhood kids manage to put on a show Christmas at the Cupiello house by Eduardo De Filippo. AND a success for them and for the neighborhoodwhich has a theater school for the first time. Mimmo is increasingly in love (Giampiero De Concilio) with Caterina (Caterina Ferioli).
Something breaks between the two when the girl’s father arrests Mimmo’s father for having covered up the shady dealings of the Camorra member Sommella. Mimmo feels the world collapsing around him. After the beating, Massimo distances himself from the priest and from the theater course: he returns under the wing of Boss Mariano.

Don Giuseppe doesn’t give up and tries to involve the boys in a journeystill aimless. It would be the first time they leave the place where they live. «They need to have a different perspective», is convinced the priest, who has a specific objective: «To transform healthcare into an open-air museum».

In this second episode the past of Giuseppe and Manuela is also told (Nicole Grimaudo), when they were in love as boys, and when the future Don felt the need to touch people’s pain first-hand. Manuela was never able to forgive him. But now he seems to make peace with that pain. And thanks to Giuseppe, after yet another violence suffered by her husband, she finds the strength to leave home with her daughter Matilde.
