“We hear the most horrible stories from all kinds of people about his condition,” said his best friend’s girlfriend. The Public Prosecution Service does not want to comment on this yet because of the ongoing investigation.
The body of the 25-year-old Alkmaarder has still not been released by the police, because investigations are still being conducted. It is unclear how long this will last. It is also not clear whether, for example, Tijn’s mobile phone has been found.
The two suspects are currently in custody and remain under restrictions, which means they are only allowed to have contact with their lawyers. These counselors do not yet want to respond to questions.
Memorial for Tijn
Tijn’s relatives have noticed and felt the impact his disappearance and death has had on Alkmaar. The calls to look out for him – for a month – were also widely shared online.
In addition, they have not yet been able to say goodbye to him. That is why his loved ones are organizing a memorial service.
