After a win at the start of the NBA season, the Orlando Magic around basketball world and European champion Franz Wagner have already lost the fourth game in a row.
The Magic suffered their worst defeat of the season so far with a 116:135 (64:65) at the Detroit Pistons. The ambitious team is in the bottom of the Eastern Conference table with a record of one win and four defeats.
Wagner played a solid game with 22 points and 7 rebounds, but was unable to make much of an impact in the final section. Orlando’s deficit grew continuously and the guests conceded 70 points in the second half.
Wagner: “Lack of commitment”
“This isn’t the first game in this short season where we felt like we didn’t play as hard as we can – that’s not acceptable.”criticized Wagner. “In defense we lack commitment, we are not focused enough.”
Wagner’s national teammate Tristan da Silva scored 15 points.
