The Golden Leaves Festival 2022 has announced more acts in the line-up. Christin Nichols, Fil Bo Riva, Låpsley, Sudan Archives and Torres will also appear in Darmstadt – presented by Musikexpress. The organizers announce: Only the last act for Friday is missing, an announcement should follow in the coming weeks.
Like all other festivals, the Darmstadt festival Golden Leaves has been acutely affected by the corona pandemic in recent years. After 2020, the edition planned for 2021 also had to be cancelled. This was all the sadder because there was no internationally active, large booking and event agency behind the festival, which could compensate for the shortfalls for the time being, but a handful of organizers whose financial situation was and is so tight that they do not allow themselves any missteps could. At the time, they wrote about the cancellation: “We have expended all our remaining energy to fulfill our promise to be able to celebrate a Golden Leaves with you again this year and still have to paint the sails. We are heartbroken to have to bring you the sad news of another cancellation today.”
The news was all the more gratifying that the planning for the Golden Leaves Festival 2022 is already in full swing, various acts have been confirmed and it seems, at least currently, that it can actually take place again. From 26th to 28th August should be the time in Darmstadt’s Kranichstein Castle Park.
