At the weekend there were violent clashes at several A-Junior games. A game must be abandoned.
Two A-junior games in the Hessian district league got out of hand at the weekend. In Neu-Isenburg and Hanau there were violent clashes on the pitch – in one case the game even had to be abandoned.
As a police spokesman said, both players and spectators clashed after a foul whistle during the game between the A-juniors from Neu-Isenburg and Mainflingen. The game was abandoned in the 70th minute. After the fight, three reports of bodily harm and a total of 29 reports of insults were filed.
Things didn’t remain peaceful in Hanau either. According to the police, an argument broke out between two players during the duel between the junior teams from Klein-Auheim and Egelsbach. A player from Klein-Auheim hit his opponent. The game could still continue. “During the game, our team was exposed to insults and provocations from spectators over a long period of time,” wrote the Egelsbach club management in a statement on Instagram. “After the end of the game, a player on our team was also the victim of physical violence by an opposing player.” Hit Radio FFH had previously reported on the incidents.
