Contract without purchase option

At the end of June, 1. FC Heidenheim introduced Arijon Ibrahimovic as their first new signing for the 2025/26 season. After the club had good experiences last year with Paul Wanner (19, now at PSV) and Frans Krätzig (22, RB Salzburg), who were on loan from FC Bayern, FCH secured the services of the 19-year-old offensive player this time. Ibrahimovic was supposed to gain match practice in the Bundesliga after an unsatisfactory six months at Lazio Rome – the plan has worked so far. According to information from “Sky”, Heidenheim is therefore thinking about a longer-term collaboration.

According to the pay-TV broadcaster, there is strong interest in a permanent commitment. Talks with Ibrahimovic’s parent club FC Bayern are being planned. As of now, the Nuremberg native would have to return to Munich at the end of the season – there is no purchase option for Heidenheim in the loan agreement. Youngster Ibrahimovic’s contract at Säbener Straße is valid until 2027.

When it comes to goal contributions, Ibrahimovic still has room for improvement: after eight appearances over 631 minutes, he can now boast one scorer point for Heidenheim – in the DFB Cup first round game at Bahlinger SC (5-0), he set up the opening goal for Leo Scienza (27), who has since moved to Southampton.

The market value of the right foot has been consistently estimated at 4 million euros since December 2023 – this value is only exceeded at FCH by goalkeeper Diant Ramaj (24/7 million euros) and striker Marvin Pieringer (26/5.5 million euros). After Wanner, Krätzig and Niklas Dorsch in 2018, the German U20 international Ibrahimovic was the fourth Bayern professional to be drawn to the Brenz. We also had good experiences with Dorsch: The 27-year-old midfielder came from the FCB youth team on a free transfer in 2018 and developed into a top performer. After temporary stays in Ghent and Augsburg, the Lichtenfels native returned in 2024 for a transfer fee of 3.5 million euros.
