“My man, my man, my man, my baby, my baby… Spoiling me, driving me crazy,” she raps about the professional athlete in the song. And further: “Let’s skip the small talk and make some big moves / I know you feeling me, you know I’m feeling you / A very freaky girl, you heard what Gucci said / First, I give you my number, then you give me some head.” On the cover of the song, Stallion is depicted as the love god Cupid. As Billboard reported, the two made their relationship public at the Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in July. Since then, the rapper has shared several couple photos on social media.

Second single after “Whenever”
“Lover Girl” is only Megan Thee Stallion’s second single this year. She released “Whenever” in April. Fans are now hoping that the new single will usher in a new era – and lead to her fourth studio album. She most recently released the record MEGAN in 2024.
Is there a new album coming?
As Rolling Stone reported, the Houston artist hinted at plans for a new album project in March. “I’m trying to figure out who I want to work with at this point in my life,” she said at the time. “I only want to work with people who, firstly, I haven’t worked with before and secondly, who I listen to in my free time – people who I really like.”
For example, Doechii is on her “album wish list,” the magazine quoted her as saying: “I think Doechii is someone you have to be in the studio with to make a song. I would love to hear a beat that she wants to rap to, and I’m also up for the challenge of rapping to beats that I wouldn’t normally rap to without losing myself.”
