Eintracht striker Michy Batshuayi turned to his fans with an emotional appeal – not asking for support on the pitch, but for his pet. His cat was hit by a car in Frankfurt and, according to the professional, is in a critical condition.
The 32-year-old wrote on Instagram that an operation was imminent and that a blood transfusion from another cat was urgently needed. “I’m asking you from the bottom of my heart for help today. I live in Frankfurt and my cat was hit by a car. She is in critical condition and needs urgent surgery,” said Batshuayi.
“I know this isn’t an ordinary request, but it’s her only chance of survival.” The attacker, who also played for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, has over 2.8 million followers on Instagram. There he made it clear how serious the situation was: “Every minute counts.”
