Regional engine

In recent years, Ghent University has invested approximately 27 million euros in education and research infrastructure in Kortrijk. In addition to KUBES, this also includes the VEG-i-TEC building, the university’s living lab for vegetable and potato processing.

With KUBES, Ghent University wants to further develop its campus in Kortrijk into a regional engine for sustainable innovation. The university wants to work together with West Flemish industry and regional policy on new solutions that help companies take the step towards a more sustainable future.
