The Ducati world champion will not race in Portimao and Valencia nor will he participate in the end-of-year tests. He preferred not to speed up his recovery from his right shoulder injury
Marc Marquez’s 2025 season is officially over. The new Ducati world champion will not take part in the last two rounds of the World Championship, scheduled for Portimao (7-9 November) and Valencia (14-16 November), nor in the tests on 18 November on the Ricardo Tormo circuit. The Spaniard is still recovering from the right shoulder injury he suffered in the accident with Bezzecchi in Mandalika. Ducati explained in a note that “the medical team that is monitoring his recovery has confirmed that the clinical evolution of the coracoid fracture and ligament injury is positive and is progressing normally. However, Marc will have to spend four weeks with the limb completely immobilized before starting rehabilitation, so his return to competition for the current year is to be ruled out.” Ducati will communicate in the coming weeks who will replace Marquez in the next Grands Prix.
the pilot’s words

“Analyzing the entire situation, we believe that the most appropriate, intelligent and coherent course of action is to respect the biological timing of the injury, even if this means that I will no longer be able to compete this season or participate in tests. We know that a difficult winter awaits us, with a lot of work, to recover the muscles 100% and be ready for 2026. This must not overshadow or make us forget the great goal we achieved this year: to become Champions of the World and soon we will all celebrate it together. Thanks to all the fans for the many messages, to Ducati and all the sponsors for their support and understanding.” There is only one goal: 2026 and the eighth MotoGP title.
