A man was seriously injured in an accident on the A4 near Bergen op Zoom on Monday evening. An air ambulance landed on the highway to provide assistance.
“The man was thrown from the car and landed on the road surface,” said a police spokesman. The man has been taken to hospital. He was alone in the car.
It is not clear how the accident happened, but the police say it was a single-vehicle accident.
The A4 towards Antwerp was temporarily closed between Steenbergen and the Zoomland junction. The road was reopened around 8 a.m.
