A few days ago, while passing through Splendid AM 990Ariel Tarico once again showed why he is one of the most prominent political imitators in the country. In his recent interpretation of Javier Milei, the comedian accurately captured the President’s most characteristic gestures, fillers and tics, generating laughter both in the studio and on the networks.

During the imitation, Tarico placed special emphasis on the hand gesture that Milei popularized this month and that went viral: a kind of upward movement that, he joked, “is like playing an imaginary harp.” He also reproduced his usual “I mean, let’s say” and rapid eye movements, achieving an exact parody of his way of speaking and his expressiveness.

In one of the most celebrated passages, he joked about the jumpsuit with the YPF logo that the president usually wears in his broadcasts, and concluded with a laugh that “it is used to play with Conan, Murray, Robert and Lucas.” The nod to Milei’s domestic universe, so present in his public image, reinforced the humorous side of the scene and connected with an audience that closely follows every gesture of the President.

The imitation closed with a phrase that mixed tenderness and satire: “They are my beloved dogs and sometimes they have more sensitivity than humans.” With his usual ability to capture nuances, Tarico offered a parody that oscillated between the political and the human, humorously portraying the president’s most eccentric side.

Throughout his career, Ariel Tarico established himself as one of the most recognizable voices in Argentine humor. His talent for reproducing tones, gestures and speech rhythms made him a benchmark of the genre, with memorable imitations of figures such as Sergio Massa, Mauricio Macri, Patricia Bullrich, and journalists such as Alejandro Fantino and Luis Majul. He has even parodied Mirtha Legrand, showing a range that combines observation and humor in equal parts.
