Shooting range at the IBU ONE LOOP Festival in Munich's Olympic Park

The French Eric Perrot and the Italian Lisa Vittozzi won the IBU LOOP ONE Festival of Biathletes in Munich. Thousands of fans cheered in the Olympic Park. A German also made it onto the podium.

Eric Perrot won the men’s 10-kilometer sprint on the circuit in Munich’s Olympic Park in front of around 11,000 spectators. The Frenchman made three shooting errors, but crossed the finish line first after 20:33.7 minutes, ahead of the Norwegian Isac Frey (3 shooting errors/+ 5.7 seconds) and Justus Strelow from SG Stahl Schmiedeberg (1/+ 8.9).

Another German, Lucas Fratzscher (WSV Oberhof), placed twelfth in the top 15 (6/+ 1:02.6). Winner Perrot secured a prize money of 12,000 euros.

Anna Weidel misses the podium – Vittozzi triumphs

In the women’s race, Lisa Vittozzi from Italy achieved a safe victory in the end. With two shooting errors, she achieved a time of 23:44.5 minutes and relegated the Swedes Skottheim (2 shooting errors/+5.9 seconds) and Magnusson (2/+7.4) to second and third place.

Anna Weidel (WSV Kiefersfelden) was also on course for a podium until the last shooting. In the end, the 29-year-old, who replaced the injured Franziska Preuß, took fourth place (1/+ 18.8). She was the only DSV runner to qualify for the final.

The “Super Sprint” in Munich is purely a preparation race in which no World Cup points were awarded.
