Netflix’s three-part documentary on Victoria Beckham, released on Thursday, October 9, takes viewers deep into her story.
In addition to Victoria, the documentary features her well-known friends such as Donatella Versace, the head designer of the Versace fashion empire.
Although the two are now good friends thanks to the fashion world, their friendship didn’t get off to a perfect start.
The two met for the first time in 1997, when Donatella contacted Victoria. The fashion designer’s daughter was a big fan of the Spice Girls, so Donatella invited Victoria to her fashion show.
– Donatella invited me to the Versace fashion show. They arranged a private plane for me to Milan. When I went to the Versace store, I was told I could take whatever I wanted. I couldn’t believe it, Victoria recalls in the documentary.

She chose a black leather dress from the store. Looking at it in the mirror, he said to an employee working in the store:
– I like this dress, but what if we tighten this part, shorten this and remove the sleeves? What if the whole dress was practically redesigned?
– I still can’t believe that I said that. Really rude, Victoria recalls that moment.
Today, Donatella, who smiles about it, says in the Netflix documentary:
– You shouldn’t do that. That he dared! But then I realized that the dress looked better on her – she really knows her body.
