One of the largest projects is the construction of a new 50-meter swimming pool and a modern sports hall with indoor padel courts. The opening is scheduled for 2030. “It will be a place where everyone is welcome: from toddlers doing their first lap to seniors who want to stay active,” says Alderman Peter Hillewaere.
Sportpark Hazebeek will also be thoroughly renovated with an extra artificial grass field, new skating infrastructure and a height terrace at the cafeteria. “Everyone plays sports, everyone moves. We don’t sit still in Koksijde,” emphasizes Alderman Lore Dezutter.
