For two months, the mystery surrounding the murder of Thessa (48) from Brugse Poort seemed to remain unsolved. Until last week, when a 42-year-old Algerian was suddenly handcuffed in France. He is suspected of killing the Ghent woman in a gruesome manner in her own home, after her night out with friends in the city center. “The blow is enormous for the family, but there is now relief that they know something,” says their lawyer Nina Van Eeckhaut.
