One of the most striking examples is the Oudenburg viaduct, the longest in the province. Trucks cross it every day, but the bridge has serious defects. “We received reports of falling debris last year,” says Mayor Romina Vanhooren (For Oudenburg). “A temporary speed limit has been in place since September to reduce the impact on the bridge. These are signals that stability is not good. We insist on a permanent solution.”
