The German sporting goods provider Adidas AG is opening up a new product category. With the “Adidas Pro Work” line, the brand also wants to offer safety shoes in the future.
On Wednesday, the company announced that it had entered into a long-term partnership with GLO Brands BV, a company specializing in protective equipment, for this purpose. The aim of the collaboration is to develop “high-performance safety shoes” that will be used in the construction and logistics industries, for example. The GLO company, which belongs to the international Bunzl Group, will “implement Adidas’ design vision into specialized shoe models,” according to a statement.
According to a statement, the first products in the new line will come onto the market in the second quarter of 2026 and will be offered through selected sales partners and channels.
