‘Chat control’: Belgian government may vote against EU law to scan messages for child abuse

If the European member states soon have to pronounce on the controversial ‘chat control’ legislation, Belgium will probably vote against it. HLN heard this from a good source. The bill could require chat apps such as WhatsApp and Signal to scan private messages for images of child abuse, even if they are encrypted.
