Marlijn Weerdenburg no longer applies if the Rising Star from the public broadcaster. Her employer AVROTROS has passed her hard for the presentation of the Golden Televizier-Ring Gala. Cabaretier Peter Pannekoek skips a year because of the New Year’s Eve conference and for his replacement someone from outside is arranged: Chantal Janzen.
‘Sour for Marlijn’
Very painful, thinks Tina Nijkamp TV authority. She says in the Weekend: “It’s fun, and I get it too. Chantal is a former AVRO face and a large RTL star. Because Televizier celebrates its 60th anniversary, it is a nice connection with an important commercial channel. But of course it is sour for Marlijn Weerdenburg!”
She continues: “She can do the Musical Awards Gala, but not this, while there was a spot free. I had to think right away: what is left for her at the Avrotros? Nothing.”
Deaf star
There is almost nothing left in Marlin’s TV package, says Tina. “Besides Moltalk, but that is only next February. And moreover: nice for it, but natches eight times half an hour is not really something you can put on the map of course.”
